The gang from Art After 5 attended the visual eye feast of The MADI Museum’s growing and spectacular permanent exhibit from around the world as well as featured Artist of the Month and Art After 5 member Ann DeRulle’s exhibit of 3D wall sculpture/paintings.
Inspired by studies in sacred geometry, Ann’s unique and evocative mixed-media pieces incorporate multilayers of plexiglass, gold leaf, paint and collaged papers elevated above brushed aluminum. Each offers a symbolic spiritual message and emanates life-enhancing, transformational energies. Her exhibit is on view June 1 – July 15, 2017.
Ann’s art has been exhibited extensively throughout the D/FW Metroplex in recent years, has garnered numerous awards and graces private collections throughout the U. S. Her piece entitled “Birthing of Divinity” can be seen in the 2017 virtual online exhibit of the International Society of Experimental Artists (#16 of 167 at ISEA.smug.mug.com). More about Ann and her art can be seen at www.AnnDeRulleArt.com, but there is nothing like experiencing her art in person.
“The MADI” is the only museum dedicated to the MADI art movement in the U. S. and features geometric art in its museum and periodic exhibits. More information at www.geometricmadimuseum.org.
